That was the tweet. The next scene, i am looking through the clouds of Malaysia. Down there, KL.
The power of video -or entertainment mediums- showed the power again, if you ask me. Being able to stand besides all professors, researchers, journalists… Besides WHY we were all there, it is another important issue; HOW i get there. I have been telling my students importance of language and new age mediums to tell what you have to tell. And better; independent ways!

Osman Gazali, WWII Conference, KL
WFOL held a conference on WWII and its effects on May, 13th, 2010 in KL Convention Center: “World War 2 & The Rise Of Multilateralism”.
Kazi Mahmood, the one-man band organizer, did a success on this conference against any war, pointing WWII. Respectively, i was invited to screen my docuspeech on Stalingrad battle. Which happened to be prepared in 10 days. Had to be!
What i have done was a technical explanation of the battle. I tried my best to mention that we did not hold any sides of anyone but only innocents of any sides. My duty was to show the audience what was going on in wars, when we mentioned them in just a sentence: “A battle between two sides happened in Stalingrad.”
My duty was to make the attanders to “see” the war. In fact, it was an attempt to support other researchers’ cries; “do not make war, it is bad”. As it was far away from an acedemic paper of a research.
Here, i found it much more useful, to collect the fruits of the conference. The ones that fell on the web, with little keynotes.

This was the docuspeech i made for the conference. Stalingrad is Hitler’s biggest, first defeat to Red Army. And one of the crucial turning points of WWII. Leaving 2 million people dead behind. - Charlie Chaplin’s Speech
When i thought what to say as an end word. An end word that will talk about what to do next. What lessons should we get from war. I remembered Chaplin’s first voiced-movie: “The Great Dictator”. And i was glad when committee accepted this great speech as an end speech of mine. Please enjoy and learn what to do after a war. Any war.
